“A troupe of failed clowns embark on a chaotic road trip of self-discovery after a mysterious solar event plunges the world into anarchy.”
Continuing our partnership with the imitable IndieCork, this year we are showing the feature length “Apocalypse Clown” the gag-filled clown comedy set in a post-apocalyptic Ireland. Apocalypse Clown is an award-winning Irish comedy feature film written by Shane O’Brien, James Walmsley and Demian Fox from the multi-award winning, part rock band, part international comedy sensation, “Dead Cat Bounce”.
We will have the pleasure of Shane O’Brien to present the film, chat about the film's inspirations, and the 10 year journey to premiering at the Galway Film Fleadh where it won Best Irish Film 2023.
Directed by BAFTA-nominated George Kane (Crashing, Inside No 9) and starring David Earl (Brian & Charles, After Life), Natalie Palamides (Nate, Weer, Powderpuff Girls), Amy De Bhrún (Line of Duty, Borderline), Fionn Foley (Dublin Oldschool), Tadhg Murphy (Vikings, Brassic) and Ivan Kaye (Vikings, Gunpowder Milkshake).
