Pitch’d Production's has been working with Croatian Artist Lidija Sola since 2019 when she first moved to Cork. Lidija plays the hilarious insta sensation “Pookie” in “Now & Then” which is on Douglas St Sept 7th.
Artists work at the edges and boundaries, exploring, researching and experimenting new ways and forms to express themselves, and thanks to an Arts Council Bursary, Lidija has been working with award-winning playwright Sadhbh Moriarty on their second play “Right Lung Left”. A fusion of absurd theatre, contemporary circus and stage magic, this is a darkly comic descent into what happens when the past refuses to clock out.
During this residency, Lidija will be exploring experimental group acrobatics under the mentorship of Daniel Seabra & Mafalda M. Goncalves (Circo Caótico), and alongside Henrik Gard & Ali Stranger (Cikada Circus). The research will also delve into the intersection of acrobatics and stage magic, with support from experienced lighting designer Tim Feehily. Together, they will aim to illuminate the unseen: to conjure scenes where bodies and light perform sleights of story, and where acrobatics become part of the illusion — lifting narrative, bending time, and revealing the mechanics of memory through movement and misdirection.
While this Research Residency does not have a public performance, Pitch’d Productions will continue to support Lidija to present the full show in 2026/7 to Cork audiences
